Scoop half of an avocado in the blender or food processor. Add in the lemon juice, basil, olive oil and salt and blend.
Slowly add the water in until you reach the consistency that you would like. You may use a little less or a little more water. If you are using this recipe for veggies dip you want it to be a little thicker.
Tear the kale into small pieces and put into a large salad bowl. Pour the dressing over the kale and toss until all of the kale is coated. I like to use my hands to rub the dressing on the kale. It helps to soften the kale up a little bit. Add in the veggies you want to use and toss it all together.
